Research and Planning - Magazine Process

Added the guitar image to the T in Leet.  Makes it quite unique and I've also finished off the content within the T, adding stories suited to the genre and related to the contents page.  Lastly, engraved the 'win' to make it stand out more, differentiating it from the rest of the content next to it.

Research and Planning - Magazine Photos

Photos taken are mainly long shots, but this is because it's what is mainly found on the magazines I've been researching into.  It captures the stance as well.  A few mid-shots were taken for my double page spread to show detail in facial expression and also maybe for the contents page.

Research and Planning - Magazine Process

Added a lot of detail towards  the content magazine.  I've changed the model on the top right, as the image is more suited and needed that gender in my magazine .  The story still fits to both female pictures, but also added a story for the male.  Changed the contents aswell so that it's more aimed towards the Kerrang style and less indie.  Last feature added was a band index, that is featured in other common magazines, but I thought it'd be quite different to add it on here.  Takes up space and the arrow layout flows throughout the entire magazine.

Research and Planning - Magazine Process

I've made a change to the contents page and added a picture to the contents page and added a story to match the images  together.  Also finished off the double-page story and layout of it.

Research and Planning - Magazine Process - Double page spread interview questions

Considering I'm interviewing a 'band member' who's left a band, the questions should obviously relate around this topic.

"So word hits the street you've left '' and we're all dying to know why!?'
"Are you still going to be producing what you do best?'
'Will the new Rock N Roll lead you to tour individually hopefully?'
'We've always known there's been something going on behind the scene, but do you reckon you'll whip out a single or two with him?'
'Now that you're a whild chick on the loose, do you ever intend to join the band back again?'
'What did the rest of the crew have to say about this eh?'
'What do you think the future holds for you?'
'Anything you aim to do non-related to music whilst solo?'
'Is there still mutual feelings amongst the band?'
'Anything you're going to miss particularly?'

Not all the questions will be asked, but they'll be something similar and remote to those.

Research and Planning - Magazine Process

The model on the front cover is going to be removed, and placed onto the contents page instead.

Made a start on my double-page spread, which is going to follow the style of the kerrang double-page spread.  Already having an idea of what the questions are going to look like.

Research and Planning - Double Page spread

After researching into my own magazine I found out the style was going to change, so I've decided to go for a more rock and roll double page spread.
The style I'm aiming for will look like this, with the medium close up AND her style suits what I'm aiming for, and the model I'm choosing for on this.

Research and Planning - Media San Serif fonts

I've learned today that Serif fonts are ones that should be used when it comes to putting content on my magazine, for example the content in my double page spread.
